Synopsis
Evil unearthed.

What lies beneath this Hallowed Ground is beyond the limits of fear itself. Here and There

Synopsis
Robert (character actor David Thornton) is a grumpy burned-out musician, trying to survive in Manhattan. When his fed-up friend Rose (Thornton's real-life wife Cyndi Lauper in a small role) throws him out of her apartment, the destitute Robert reluctantly makes a deal with the young Serbian, Branko (Branislav Trifunovic), who's moving his stuff out. For a hefty fee, Robert agrees to fly to Belgrade and marry Branko's girlfriend, Ivana (Jelena Mrdja), so that she can move to New York. Branko gives him a down payment, and Robert goes to Belgrade and moves in with Branko's mother, Olga (Mirjana Karanovic of Emir Kusturica's When Father was Away on Business and Underground). Robert is predictably miserable there, unimpressed with the city's culture and unresponsive to Olga's kindness. Back in New York, Branko faces his own struggles. While he's desperately trying to raise the money to pay Robert, his van is stolen. He begs Robert to stay in Belgrade for another week until he can send the money. Devoid of options, Robert agrees, and, despite himself, slowly begins to enjoy his stay. Here and There marks the narrative feature debut of writer-director Darko Lungulov. The film had its International Premiere at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival, where it won the award for Best New York Narrative.

Blood on the Highway

After a gastrointestinal mishap with their map, three twenty-somethings on a road-trip accidentally wander into Fate, Texas, only to find the town populated by bloodthirsty, dimwitted vampires. A brutal run-in with two carnivorous convenience store clerks leads the three to take refuge with the town's only surviving humans and prepare for battle with an army of the undead.

The citizens of sleepy small town Fate, TX gather for the grand opening of Consumart, a shiny new one-stop-shopping box store. The eager consumers gleefully pour into the store as the doors open at sundown. Why is the grand opening at sundown? Who cares, they've got cut-rate prices on plasma screens and baby clothes! DVDs! Mayonnaise! Coffins! Coffins? And before they have to time to really question this item, terror ensues and the store erupts into a bloodbath. Luckily, but only in the sense that they didn't get murdered, the three stumble upon the only surviving humans in town: BYRON VON JONES, a trigger-happy, conspiracy theorist militia member; LYNETTE VON JONES, a haggard, trailer park slut and the only surviving wife out of Byron's harem; and ROY JACKSON (Chris Gardner), a cowardly, lying frat boy in his early 20s. The group bands together and takes shelter in Roy's ranch house, surrounded by hundreds of vampires intending to torch the property before sunrise, so they don't have to go home and try again the next day. Will our heroes escape death and transformation? Will Bone win over Carrie's dubious and indifferent heart? Does he even really care? And will the nefarious corporate franchise relevance to the plot ever be explained?

Shelter

Julianne Moore (THE HOURS) and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM) team up for this dark psychodrama from the writer of IDENTITY. Moore stars as a psychiatrist who stumbles onto a frightening discovery when it becomes apparent that the multiple personalities of her latest patient are those of people who have been brutally murdered. Years later, Ned takes the advice of his friends and enters into the world of competitive surfing. A true natural, he wins every competition he enters with ease. The next thing Ned knows, he's got an agent, and he's living the dream. But when the partying gets out of hand and the endorsement deals dry up, the surfer who rode his wave of success all the way to the top realizes that in order to take control of his life he must reassess his values, and refocus on the things that are truly important.
