Synopsis
Starring Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman and Academy Award nominee Clive Owen, two of today's most acclaimed actors, and directed by Academy Award nominee Philip Kaufman, Hemingway & Gellhorn recounts one of the great romances on the last century - the passionate love affair and tumultuous marriage of literary master Ernest Hemingway (Owen) and the beautiful, trailblazing war correspondent Martha Gellhorn (Kidman) - as it follows the adventurous writers through the Spanish Civil War and beyond. As witnesses to history, they covered all the great conflicts of their time, but the war they couldn't survive was the war between themselves. The film also features an all-star supporting cast that includes Academy Award nominee David Strathairn (The Bourne Legacy), Emmy Award winner Tony Shalhoub (Monk), Parker Posey (Superman Returns), Lars Ulrich (Get Him to The Greek, founding member of Metallica), Molly Parker (The Road) and Rodrigo Santoro (Che).
